Using the Restore program

I am trying to restore my computer to an earlier date since its present operation is not doing well. I want to restore it to a 2007 date. The previous month box when clicked does not respond. How can I override this refusal? Are restore opportunities confined to the present year only?

    Looks as if the restore to month is either corrupted or you did not have enough hard drive space to accept loads more restore points
     
    Reason said, by looking at your specs listed you only have 256 mb of main memory which gives me a clue that your hard drive is not large either.
     
    256 MB on a system is very low
