Video help

I'm fairly new to working with Vista and am having a problem with viewing some video on some sites.  When I am trying to view a clip I get the following error message:
 
Sorry, you either have JavaScript disabled off or an older version of the Macromedia Flash Player, click here to download the latest version.
 
JavaScripts are enabled and I have downloaded the latest version of Macromedia Flash Player (a few times).  Any help anyone can offer I would appreciate it.

    Any yellow mark on the top of the borwser, telling you about some ActiveX controllers???

    Not when I'm trying to view clip.  There was when downloading flashplayer but I okayed that.
