Vista Ultimate 64-bit

I was just wondering, will the new Windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit Edition be compatible with my almost 5 year old Dimension 4400 desktop?

Nope. I'm pretty sure. 4400 Dimension's did not have 64 bit CPUs.

I have the 4400 system, and I will never waste any more money on upgrades, and that includes Vista. Too old, and Vista likes 2 gb of memory, which you cannot upgrade to, a better processor, which you will not be able to upgrade to, dual core cpu to boot. Windows XP is just fine for us old timers until the next system. Too close to getting another system with Vista installed, and you will not get the full benefits from this OS.
