Win 98 muti users and IE programs transfer question
I need a little help,I'm stuck.
Unit: Dim xps T500, running os of win98se serv pack 1&2 ..
This unit has a new larger HD and clean oem software install. Hears the problem I'm running into, they was to set it up for multi users. Now that I have all my internet programs downloaded, ie}Adware and spy ware, firewalls, msn messenger, ect. I thought I was ready to go. So I inserted the 5 users names and passwords via control panel/ users, selected transfer all programs and desk top settings.
All that is getting transfered; is the cd software, none of the IE down loads programs are being moved.
There has got to be a way to transfer the IE downloaded programs, with out spending 14 hours per each user via 18bps dial up.
I'm having a brain block, as to how to get it to transfer. Any suggestions?
I have searched this conference, came close but no answers...MC....

The fix for this problem; Is to locate the downloaded IE programs files and the install exe. once found, burn them to a cd. Then log in each user and download the programs from the cd to their section of "C" hard drive. Each user will have control of their programs, plus have the ability to setup their own desktop and programs files, much in the same as having several computers but only in one. But in fore thought, it is much easer to just down load the IE programs to the CD in first place. Sometimes the most simplest things can be the most difficult to figure out :smileywink: .....MC.....
