Windows 10 update

Hiya,

I was trying to shed some light on a not issue we are having but trying to get my head around,

I work for a company and we have a selection of Dell Pcs,

Optiplex 3010, 3020, 3040, 790, 7020, 780, 7010, 9020

XPS - 8700,

Alienware - Aurora-R4,

We know the windows 10 free upgrade has passed, we have upgraded a few recently and they have activated from windows 7 pro,

are these covered in a dell OEM  licence

Thanks

Rich

    Rich345,

Systems that are qualified by Dell for the Windows 10 Upgrade are -Supported by Base Warranty.  If you the computer is not on the Dell Upgrade list users will need to contact Microsoft for support.

Base Warranty in scope and out of scope support.

    • FAQs and questions pertaining to system specifications and capabilities are in scope.
    • Driver download and installation is also supported.
    • No step by step assistance is offered for the upgrade process.

If the customer needs upgrade assistance you will need contact either

www.dell.com/support or support.microsoft.com.  Fees may apply for the services.

    Rich343,

You cannot update the computers any longer unless you purchase Windows 10. The downloads and upgrades came from Microsoft and not Dell. The free upgrade has ended.
