Windows Automatic Updates Website on Startup

I have Windows XP Pro and I've set up my computer to download and install these automaticall, which is fine.

However, my computer is also set up to go to the Windows Automatic Updates website on startups, which is not fine.

Is there any way to have Internet Explorer go to my Home Page, which is set up in "Tools" instead of going to the Windows Automatic Updates site?

Understand, my Homepage is set up properly and if I click on the "Home" icon in the Internet Explorer toolbar it goes to my Homepage just fine.

It's just that when I startup it goes to the Windows Automatic Updates website and then I have to manually go to my home page and sometimes I have to wait for 2-3 minutes for the Windows Automatic Updates website to load first.

Thanks. Yes, I've done that. I know how to do that and in fact my homepage has never changed. It is Yahoo. Still, whenever I start my computer 1) Internet Explorer starts and it 2) Goes to the Microsoft Update page.

I know that when I signed up for Microsoft Updates (i.e. turned them ON) there was an option to go to the Update page on startup and I chose that. But since then I've not been able to figure out how to stop it going to the Update page on startup. I've gone through every page for "Settings" etc. I've even turned off Updates and turned them back on again, thinking that option would appear again, but no luck. It's a real puzzle.

After your windows update page has loaded, revert back to the page you wish to have as your start page. Using your mouse, go towards the top of the screen and RIGHT click the ADDRESS (letters and numbers that starts with Http:) near the top of this page that you want as your start page then click COPY.

Now go to the top of the page and click the TOOLS tab and scroll down to INTERNET OPTIONS and left click that tab.

Near the top of that window you will see HOME PAGE and ADDRESS which is highligted in blue.

Using your mouse arrow, place it over the blue address section and then RIGHT CLICK and a window will appear then LEFT CLICK THE PASTE BUTTON.

This will place the address of the homepage you just copied above as your start page. Then CLICK USE CURRENT tab and go to the bottom of the page and click OK.

    You should be all set.
