Windows Backup Utility

I am trying to use windows backup utility to backup the Document and Settings folder on my computer. The backup starts as planned but when the destination file reaches 4 MB, the utility stops and indicates that a file size can not be more than 4 MB. I am backing up a NFTS drive to a FATS32 strorage hard drive. Is there a special setting in the backup utility that I need to set? Or is this a limitation of the tool? Can I use another to tool to backup my system that will resolve this issue like Norton Save and Restore? Thanks.

That is the limitation of the FAT32 storage drive. Try reformat to NTFS.

Is this the only way? I have used software in the past to store to this drive with mutiple files. Can we do this with Windows Backup Utility? If I need to reformat, do you have instructions on how to do this? Thanks.
