Thanks Manshu S I clicked on the first link and that method did not work. I clicked on the second link to refresh pc without affecting files. When I clicked on the getting started button nothing happened same thing when i tried to reset the pc nothing happened. Any other ideas?
There is no error message when I click on the get started button. Nothing happens. I click on the button and nothing. Performing a restore would not help because it never worked properly. It's been that way since I bought the laptop. I've always received that message.
Your permissions are messed up, run as Administrator and see if it will over ride. Find out if your Downloads folder is on a removable drive and if that drive is actually still connected (network drives are also a problem if you save your files to your Network Home Drive).
I suggest you try adding a full administrator user profile and seeing if the permission problem goes away.
I have added you as a friend. Please accept my friend request by clicking on my name highlighted in blue and then click on “Friends” tab at the top and then click on “Request to Review” and finally click on “Accept” button.
I am sending you a private message as well. Click on “Inbox” to respond to the message and provide system’s Service Tag and name listed on the account so I may access your system records and check for further course of action. You could also click on Start Conversation to send a private message.

Hi Janet,
Please refer to the Microsoft Article by clicking the link mentioned below:

If the issue persists, you may reset your system using the link mentioned below:

NOTE: Resetting your PC will remove the applications and data installed on the system after you got it.
Thanks & Regards
Manshu S
