Folks, I am not familiar with the workings of Windows Media Player...I pressed the "record" button when the Colts-Patriots game came on. I did not see an option to record for a set time, so I assumed the software "recognizes" the end of the program. When I viewed the recording later that evening, everything was working great....until 5 minutes left in the game when the recording had apparently stopped!! ARGHHHHH!!!
I went thru the various menus and settings and I couldn't see anything that stated how the recording feature works or how to set for a length of time. Needless to say I was very disappointed but I'm hoping this board will help me avoid that disaster again in the future.
After you choose a start time there is a little arrow to the right you have to scroll down to then set a stop time..........not sure why yours stopped when it did.....might have a default run time....
One thing I would like to know is if I am watching something that I decide I wanna record immediately, pressing the record button is time consuming in that you have to follow a lot of prompts. ie: was a song on TV i liked and by the time I get the recording happening was half over....
Is there where i should be using the "pause" feature? and if so does it store what I've paused on the HDD?
