xp-pro
I have a latitude d610 with xp pro, It has become unstable so I would like to reinstall the o.s. I do not have a reinstallation c.d. for this computer, but I also have an optiplex-gx150 with xp pro that I do have a reinstallation c.d. for. Would it be possible to use that c.d. on the latitude ?

Yes, it should work. One thing to watch out for ... if the gx150's XP CD is a lower Service Pack (SP) level, there may be issues with devices/drivers, as some require a minimum of SP2. I don't know if that is the case with the D610, but if you have any problems, you might first look into integrating SP2 or 3 into your XP media using a tool like nLiteOS.com.
