WMV files from chrome on a T50?

We have an intranet site which we want to allow people to access from their T50 rather than their Terminal session (video doesn't stream well), but I don't see that the T50 has a media player for wmv files.

I tried to install VLC, but haven't had any luck.

Any ideas?
