Black screen after a drop.

Unfortunately, I drop it.  The first few times I turned it on and off with no response from the screen.  Although the keyboard and power light would turn on and off.  Then randomly a few tries later I saw a flash of the login screen.  Another time I was even able to access the home screen but then it quickly turned black.  How can I assess the damage?  Is there any sort of reset?  Doesn't seem all the way broken.  Thanks!

There's clearly hardware damage - exactly what will require an internal examination.

If you need a link to the service manual, post the system model number (XPS 9330, 9560, etc.).

Unplug the system, remove the base cover and disconnect the battery from the system board.  Hold the power button for 30 sec.

Disconnect and reconnect the display cable from the mainboard.

Reverse and see if the system will boot normally.
