I have an xps13 9310. When I try turn it on the dell splash screen shows and the keyboard lights up. However the screen then goes black. I hear the windows boot melody but the screen stays black.
The computer doesn't respond and moving and the mouse doesn't light up the keyboard.
Thanks for these. On the RTC it seemed to initiate in that the laptop restarted several times but didn't work.
On the BIOS recovery. After I unplug hold down Ctrl + esc plub back in keep holding the computer starts shows the splash screen not then just is black screen. The keyboard lights up when I move the mouse however
I think the system is working but with video display issue. If you have access, test with an external monitor for visibility and roll back video driver to see if it may help.
Is this happening solely in battery mode? Or also when connected to the charger/mains. If the former, perhaps uncheck the HDR option under Display. If that works, restore HDR (if you want it) but with battery powered optimisation selected in the small fliplist.
I have gained access to an external monitor. I was able to access the recovery screen via the external screen. I reset my PC (cloud reinstall of windows but keep my files option). The reset has completed but the issue still occurs.
When I turn on my laptop the dell logo flashes on screen but then black screen thereafter. If I connect it to an external monitor I can login. I tried playing with the external monitor settings. Duplicate screen extend etc however the screen always stays black.
I have the same issue.. works fine at boot, works fine in bios or diagnostics, works fine with an external monitor, but won't display anything once windows loads on the internal screen.
Tried a reinstall of windows and it looked fine which it was using the basic VGA driver i assume, then cut out during the rest of the installation, but was fine via the external monitor.

Performing an RTC reset to see if it may help.
