Alpha R2, power issue
Same thing just happened to mine.. Powered off, brick no green light. Took out power from R2, swiched brick off then on then but power back to R2.. However... mine started to smoke and I mean smoke. Complete disaster.. Mine only 15 months old.. what a rip off! So R2 users out there be careful that yours does not cause fires to occurr. I would really expect DELL to look into these types of issues!
If you find a way to get the machine back up and running please let me know.. Wont be buying anything else from DELL though!
And to top it all, i only sent in a survey on how the R2 was getting on last week.... How I'd love to be able to update that.

Hi Spy1,
I complained hard and eventually Dell agreed to fix it. Your case is even more extreme with the smoke etc! So Dell should be looking after you. Know your consumer rights and and know what constitutes 'fit for purpose' when complaining.
