Alienware Elite Care
Last December, I ordered a new Area-51 PC. I received it and I can't complain about the thing at all. However, I made a teensie weensie boo boo when I ordered it. I wanted to get the " Alienware Elite Care " option but I failed to poke the correct button and ended up with the standard " Alienware Care " option. I have been trying to upgrade to the Elite option, but it doesn't seem to have any possibility of doing that. The AI systems only allow you to purchase it on the original purchase and the add on sections only seem to allow additional coverage when the 5 year plan is complete. Sales and support contacts send me back and forth to different contacts only to tell me what I think I already know. Yesterday I received a mailer that says " GET ELITE CARE ", and, of course, the end is that you can order it with a new PC but there doesn't seem to be any upgrade possibility. I kind of think this is something that is not possible and, at best, I'll just have to go to McAfee and make do with that for Virus protection. Anyway, does anybody have any suggestion as to who or what to contact to add this on or is this just not a possibility after the fact?

I have passed this onto my AW contact. I think it would be in Dell's best interest to allow someone to upgrade their cover after a purchase.
I will let you know what he comes back with.

I've heard back from my AW guy and he said he can help you out. He said that it is possible to upgrade your cover but the way to do it isn't as simple as it should be and they are trying to work out a better system. I'll DM you and sort out the details.

I have the same issue. ( purchased Area 51 AAT2250 November 2025 ) there was no actual button for me to choose elite care , again this was from the outlet. my last pc the aurora R16 has got the elite care. which was called premium before it was called elite and i thought i had got the new elite care but i do not as it asks me to upgrade on my dell support assist. but when i go to upgrade it only tells me i can add to the already 4 years i bought. i paid over £300 for 4 years normal warranty when i thought it was elite care. why do Dell keep changing the name ? I would like to get elite care (accidental damage) touch wood my auroa is going strong but i like that peace of mind.
