Area-51 R2, error, previous overclock settings have failed

Hi,

When attempting to boot my PC I am receiving the error - “The previous overclock settings have failed, system has been restored to its default settings. Strike the F1 key to load default, F2 to run setup, F5 to enter PSA.”

When I press F1 it reboots to the same screen, F2 takes me to the BIOS and and F5 runs the PSA. Also the motherboard was recently replaced as the old one was faulty.

Model - Alienware Area-51 R2

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Try going into bios f2, disable all RAM and cpu overclocking, click save and exit, andvrestart.  If that doesn't work try unplugging everything, discharging flea power, and replacing the cr2032 battery on the motherboard.

I’m not very familiar with the BOIS so not sure how to disable the cpu and ram overlocking. I looked online but couldn’t find anything. I tried resetting to default settings and rebooting but no difference. The BIOS version is outdated should I try updating it? If so how would I do that.

My Alienware Area 51 R2 had the same error while making changes in the AWCC Overclock settings. It hasn't posted since then. Have you been able to fix your pc?

Hi! I’ve had the same issue, were you able to get it to post again? I have the same issue and was considering a bios swap.
