Aurora R10, adding a new 2.5" hard drive

Looking inside my R10 I see that I have 2 empty 2.5" hard drive slots.  I've installed many 3.5" hard drives, but haven't installed a 2.5" one before.  I was curious if there was anything specifically I should look for?  Can pretty much any 2.5" hard drive work?  I was thinking of getting this Seagate 4TB Barracuda Sata 6GB/s 128MB Cache 2.5-Inch 15mm Internal Hard Drive (ST4000LM024) 2.5 Internal Bare/OEM Drive or possibly the 5TB version of it.    Just wanted to make sure this would work before buying it.

Yeah, you're fine.  Same concept as installing a 3.5" HDD.  You need to buy a SATA data cable, and there are spare sata power cables bundled up behind your psu in the metal swing out box.  You just need to remove the 2 screws covering the box to see them.

Awesome!  Thanks for the tip about getting power cable.  Assumed there would be spare ones, so very good to know.  Kudo's to you!

Right, either I'm a moron who bought the wrong hard drive, or there is something I've missing.  I bought this exact hard drive (https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B01M0AADIX/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) along with a sata 3 cable.  But when I tried to put it into the slot with the blue hard-drive carrier there is no way it fits.  It is simply to big.  Without the carrier it would fit, but then it's seems way to loosey/goosey which I am sure is not how it is suppose to be.  Any advice would be great appericated.  Below is an image of where I was trying to install it via the instructions at the Alienware Aurora Ryzen Edition Service Manual

It's supposed to slide in and out and click into place.  Does it help if you remove the caddy so you can see how it slides in better?

Also, you connect the blue part of the caddie to the 2.5" hard drive using the four connection points (can't remember if it was a screw or push in bolt) for a snug fit.

So in the end I had to take the cage out, put the hard dive in the cage, then put the cage back into the case.  It wasn't a huge deal once I figured out what I had to do, but there was no mention of having to take the cage out in the manual.  Thanks for the pictures, and the advice.  I was wracking me brain trying to figure out what I was missing.  Lol, I even unscrewed the screws holding the cage, thinking I could somehow remove the little piece of metal, but never clicked on what the screws were for.  Happy to report the hard drive is tucked nicely in and working great now.
