I plan to add a HDD to my R16. The owner's manual says I can add up to a 1TB drive. I want to add an 8TB hard disk drive. Why would there be a 1TB maximum? I don't understand this.

The manual can only represent what components we tested and validated. The largest HDD testd by Dell is 1TB.

There isn't a 1 TB limit. It means it was only validated up to 1 TB.
