Aurora R8, GPU fan noise, #2

Every time the GPU reaches around 85℃, the fan starts to run at full speed, it's like there's an aeroplane taking off next to me. The CPU temp is fine since its liquid cooling, but the GPU noise I can't stand. It repeats from running full speed to quiet every 10 seconds. Does anyone have a solution?

Try using MSI afterburner to bump up the GPU fan curve and try to prevent the GPU from reaching 85* in the first instance.  It's a Dell safety feature, it can't otherwise be turned off without changing the bios/vbios to my knowledge.  So the solutions would need to focus on not getting the GPU that hot.

What kind of graphics card do you have?? A GPU temp of 85C is way too hot

What CPU do you have? You said your CPU temp is "fine". What is a "fine" CPU temp to you?

85 C seems to be a bit high, Like the other mentioned below, I'd download MSI Afterburner and tune the fan speeds. At idle, the fan should be 30% speed and you can set a custom fan curve if it gets too hot. My GPU sits at roughly 35-40 idle and can ramp up to high 70's but the fans never spin faster than 50% according to the fan curve.

2080 and i7 9700k

The CPU temp often sits around 40-50
