Command Center LED issue > .Net 4.0 Unattended > Driver not Downloading
Alienware 17 R3 Windows 8.1
So I've been having a host of issues with my Alienware (including lock-ups when trying to save a Microsoft or snipping tool document). My current issues regard my LEDs in my keyboard. I was showing someone how they could change color---but was unable to. Even though I changed themes on the command center (despite multiple lock-ups), it never reflected the change on the command center. So I uninstalled, restarted the computer, re-installed.
When I reinstalled, Command Center looked different and showed the attached errors of ".Net 4.0 is unattended..." I also couldn't see or do anything that looked like changing colors of the LEDs. The .Net Error showed every time I attempted to restart and when I booted up. I looked up to see if I could install a new .Net and it said that I already had "4.0 or higher".
From there I uninstalled command center, went on Dell to download missing drivers, and met an error that one of the drivers couldn't be installed. The Intel HM87 Chipset Driver is the one that can't be installed, and I understand that this is a widespread issue because the computes say it "can't be copied".
So Where do I got from here to get my LEDs and Command center to work correctly again?
