Does M17X-r3 support SATA III (6GBps)?
Hi all
I'm thinking about putting an SSD in my M17X-r3 and want to clarify if it will support a SATA III drive, utilising the full SATA III bandwidth. The drive I'm looking at is an OCX Vertex 3 340GB, any thoughts?
Thanks

DEAR ALL.
I purchased two years ago a laptop Dell ALIENWARE M17 R3. I replaced the original DELL hard drive (320 GB) with a SSD SOLID STATE 120 GB SATA 3 CORSAIR becouse it not satisfied me compared to the other computer's overall performance, but once configured and installed, while running, it would seem to
create software conflicts with the rest of the system I have had several times problems with slow computer operation, malfunction of the drive, Windows software conflicts. Every time I resetted and load again all original dell drives and softwares. At the start everithing appear good but after a period variable, I had again the same problems.
Now I installed again the original Dell Hard Disk. Do You know this kind of matter and what I have to do to install and to have a correct working of a better SSD SATA 3 solid state 512 GB hard disk.
Do You have also some suggestion to the SSD hard disk to buy?
thanks

I like Samsung ... like a 840-Pro. I've read that Intel is good also. Pro-class drives are better.
