15 R4, lagging when playing games

Question

My laptop has been performing perfectly until on of the rams stopped working, and so I was down to 8GB of ram. I also reinstalled my Windows 10 when I noticed games would lag awfully. So I upgraded my ram back to 16GB. My games ran smoothly just once and its back to awfully lagging. I have tried to update all my drivers. I have used SupportAssist. Nothing is working. My GPU is GTX 1060 and ram is 16GB, i7 8th gen. I cant play all the games I used to. I really need help please.
