18 R1, will twisted cable be a problem?

Hi, I accidently twisted the blue cable by pushing it downwards too hard, and Im afraid that it maybe got twisted a bit enough so that it doesnt make proper contact with the slot. (or maybe it was always a bit twisted and I didn't do nothing wrong) Should I untwist it so that is straight? or it was always a bit twisted?

Hi SEBXD10 welcome to this free user-to-user Alienware laptop discussion forum.

My images of the ribbon cable and their system board sockets were posted in ‎17 R4, kb backlight | DELL Technologies. If your ribbon cable captivation is as shown, the electrical connection should be good. (NOTE: If the system board socket gets broken, the fix is get replacement system board.)

Hi SEBXD10 thank you for sharing additional images of your 'twisted' cable. The opening post does not state any loss of function and the seating of the ribbon cable within its socket looks good.

Hi SEBXD10 thank you for sharing additional image of your other Alienware 18 R1 (7/02/2013) 'twisted' cable. The seating of this ribbon cable within its socket also looks good.

sorry if Im asking too many questions, I just want to be sure thank you so much for your time. So even if the cable looks twisted like this from the side, it still should be alright?, properly connected with the slot?

@SEBXD10 thank you for sharing another question.

Keep pushing the 'twisted' cable into the closed socket does not ensure correct electrical connection. The socket's captivation wedge should be carefully partly opened without damage, cable inserted so that its depth of insertion line is just visible, and captivation wedge pushed back into its socket. (The reverse of carefully removing 'twisted' cable.)
