Alienware Accidental Damage claim...

Too start, I had an accidental damage claim for my 17 R3 Laptop. Sent it in and got told a day later It was irreparable. That is when the fun has begun. I got an email from the exchange team saying they were going to look for a replacement, it can either be refurbished or New. I was honestly expecting a Refurbished unit.  I got paired with a service rep, Kenneth, great guy. He basically told me that I had to wait from the India Team to "Find a suitable replacement, which can take days." A weekend past and I got told the computer they found. It didnt have something I used to have (Although they upgraded the screen from my FHD to UHD) so I declined anyways. My rep told me that he would let the India team know and they would have to find a new match.

This is about 10 Business days now. I get told 3 days later that they couldnt find a system with what I used to have so they offered me a New machine, Great. They sent me the specs of it I agreed but only requested that the battery be upgraded as I used to have a 90kwh they were giving me a 60kwh.  But now because of this they had to change the hard drives inside to a 1TB SSD and no Hybrid drives. The problem with this now again 15 business days AND COUNTING, is that there is some magical part not in stock, back ordered, something who knows. Along with that news my Service Rep Kenneth is being transferred.

As of right now, I do not have a direct contact with anyone, the General email box for returns has given me no reply and its been since 9am my time. With the "New" computer being built and waiting for this part they said it could be from anywhere from 10 days or more. This will be a FULL month I have not have a laptop, along with what is dwindling left of my 4 year extended warranty.  Whyt can Dell (Higher ups) step in and just give me something from there Delloutlet.com? I have found TONS that match or are a little less speced, which I will gladly take to have a Laptop back in my hands and not wait, which seems to be an eternity. I even sent in system Identifiers to every person I have chatted with. Seems the INDIA team has all the power.

Dell Twitter "DellCares" literally told me wait and they SHOULD email me back, keyword (Should).  This is seriously stupid.

Since December 29th I have been without a computer. I was told this should take max 10 Business days. I honestly feel like I have been just left in the hold queue now and no one cares or can honestly give me some answers.  Honestly, if I have to say, this would have been the make it or break it for me on Dell. As the machine was great but the service is atrocious. I was hoping for a clean, smooth, transition to have me be a dell partner for life. But after reading other comments, concerns, etc from other users on various sites, it seems I am not alone...

Hi! - We've been keeping an eye on your case. And we see that the Exchanges Team has not forgotten about you. However, they will require just one to two business days before getting back to you.

Hope this helps!
