Alienware laptop Modifications

Here are a few of my past Alienware mods. They are all resrays (no wraps).

I don't think I have ever posted pictures here before so hopefully they work.

I have also done an M15x - Gloss White and currently working on an M14x R2 - Gloss Orange and another 17 R1 - Pearl Black

Now that’s a cool m18x.

Do you have a custom paint rig that you use to paint the laptops?

Also with the 2015-2016 era of Alienware laptops, the designs were the best in my opinion because of how the carbon infused aluminum metal on top of the lid of the laptop matched the rubberized finish on the inside and the matte side areas.

Wow.......

just wow.

You have a 13 that looks sooo good. That gold finish on the back and the interior rubber black match really well with the CAT color you got there.

Thanks. I don’t have either of the 13’s anymore. I’ve only got the blue M18x, pink M17x and red M14x. I sold all the others.

I just use a range of spray paints and also Primer (to start) and Clear Coat (to finish). I use an old beach sun tent to spray in to help minimise overspray and dust/fluff getting onto the wet paint.

I completely pull apart the laptops before spraying including removing the motherboards and even some parts that are attached with plastic welded rivets (like the Alienhead on the lid). There's a lot of work involved and it can take a few weeks from start to finish, sometimes longer.

I've never had any 2015-2016 Alienwares. I've always preferred the 2009-2012 models and, to a lesser extent, the 2013-2014 ones.
