Alienware m18 R1 dead

I have an Alienware m18 R1, it was new (about 6 months old) it was running a simulation in multithread mode, so I was using all logic cores. It was running for several days, and at some point, it just went off and is not responding at all. I connect it, and the charger LED is on, but nothing at all happens. I was wondering if this is common, since I had the idea that this was a very powerful computer

Unplug the system and disconnect the battery from the mainboard.  Hold the power button for 30 sec.

Reassemble and then see if it'll power up -- it may have wound up in a deathlike zombie state, which the reset will clear.

Before troubleshooting, the m18 R1 came out 3 years ago? Go HERE and insert the private Service Tag number to check the warranty start and end dates.
