Area-51m R2, touchpad scrolling gestures problem
Good day. I have purchased an Alienware Area-51m R2. Out of the box the
trackpad
touchpad scrolling gestures are not working. I've tried to disable Tobii Experience, uninstalled it, installed it again, but to no luck. I cannot get the scrolling gestures problem fixed.
Has anyone had this problem? Does anyone know how to address this problem? Please advise.
Thank you in advance,

I recommend you reinstall these:
Alienware Pointing Devices Application | Driver Details | Dell US
Dell Touchpad Driver | Driver Details | Dell US
Intel HID Event Filter Driver | Driver Details | Dell US

Good day! Thank you for the tip! I did as instructed, yet I could not solve my issue. I think the Alienware Pointing Devices App needs to be updated by the manufacturer. Last update was October 19, 2019.
I appreciate that you took the time to offer a viable solution.
Cheers.
Have you retried installing the Synaptics pointing driver? that maybe will be the issue as it is responsible for gestures I think.

Oh yeah sorry about being late since the issue is resolved, dont try using 11 until it gets actual updates from DELL and Alienware because none of their stuff is actually going to work unless its a GPU,CPU or Display driver as everything else like you mentioned about the AW Pointing Device App wont be compatible.

Had a lot of trouble because two finger scrolling, pinch / zoom etc. was no longer working on Alienware 51m. After reinstalling fresh Win 11 (on a separate SSD) all touchpad functionality was working again, with Synaptics touchpad driver 19.5.17.13. On my system I noticed the driver had been updated to 19.5.17.18. Going back to 19.5.17.13 fixed the issue on my current system - without needing to reinstall the whole system.

I was contacted via DM by Dell Support, after we tried everything this was the solution:
1. Download Windows 10 http://del.ly/6604JTaGE
2. Clean install
3. Install all drivers from AW website
4. My problem was with the AW Pointing Device App, app has not been updated to work with Windows 11.
Hope this helps all of you with the same issue that I had.
