I've had this laptop for 2 years, and it's been a good machine. 

Same can't be said about the software. From day 1, AWCC, Alienware Update, and SupportAssist have all had problems, from not updating, failing updates, unable to download components, parts of the software being so bugged its unusable etc....the list goes on. So what's the deal? Why doesn't it work, and why has it never been fixed? It seems fairly common, there are threads all over many forums across the internet about this junk software but so little information on it. 

Anyone have any insight, or should I just never expect a fix or explanation?
