AWCC FX tab not present - no Macro Key function
The AWCC FX tab allows creation of Macro Keys, Dell keyboard with number pad has 9 Macro Keys. However, there is no access to the Macro Keys when AWCC cannot detect Alienware devices, including Alienware resident keyboard with per‑key RGB lighting. What is the Dell AWCC FX tab fix/solution?

There is Dell Community PC Software board that includes the 'SupportAssist for PCs' forum, but there is no 'AWCC for PCs' forum.
The Dell AWCC (Alienware Command Center) application fails to detect Alienware laptop's resident keyboard with per‑key RGB lighting, etc.
Dell does not provide user option to install (anyway) their full flagship AWCC with all four tabs, Home, Library, FX, Fusion. @DELL-Cares @Dell-BradL @Dell-KodySwenson

Dell Technical Update notification has now arrived to recommend installation of Alienware Command Center Application version 5.5.35.0 update. However, this update does not reinstate AWCC FX tab so there continues to be no Macro Key function.

also check for a BIOS update or other updates other than the AWCC software

@crimsom have you tried fully uninstalling AWCC with revo uninstaller and reinstalling it with a link from the dell support site

Hi @RPT943 thank you for sharing possible fix.
My system is Alienware 17 R5 (i7-8750H, GTX 1070, QHD) Laptop Review - NotebookCheck.net Reviews.
I have used Revo Uninstaller to reinstall AWCC versions many times, and BIOS/UEFI version has been incrementally updated and is the most recent version. All other updates have been installed.
The 17 R5's AWCC does not have FX tab (No lights for power button, side tron-lights, keyboard, touchpad, etc.). The 17 R5's Dell Flagship AWCC AlienFX 2.0 Suite of functions do not work, has no SupportAssist troubleshoot, or AlienFX 2.0 tester.
My 'Report an Unresolved Issue' was submitted on 25 September 2020. Still stuck in dark mode.

If i understand well i had the same problem with my Alienware Area-51m R2.
At some point the FX and Fusion menu disappeared somehow.
I fixed that by disabling the memory integrity security option in the Windows security panel.

Hi @Ikki di Phoenix thank you for your contribution.
This PC does not get AWCC error "INCOMPATIBLE SOFTWARE DETECTED" and the Fusion tabs CPU OVERVIEW/GPU OVERVIEW/MEMORY CLOCK will be blank. Core Isolation Memory Integrity, incompatibility - Dell Community.
The AWCC Home and FX tabs are missing. Out-of-the-Box, AWCC does not detect any of the onboard AlienFX devices (No lights for power button, side tron-lights, keyboard with per‑key RGB lighting, touchpad, etc.). There is no SupportAssist AWCC troubleshoot, or AlienFX 2.0 tester. Speculate EEPROM failure on motherboard.

i have alienware 17 r5. same problem for years. They couldn't solve it in any way. I've never seen macro keys work once. I've never seen AWCC work correctly. I don't understand how a company like Dell can't fix such a simple problem.
