AWCC taking up space

Every time I launch my PC now I get a notification of AWCC downloading. I don't want it and I've tried to get rid of it multiple times. The real problem is that I'm running low on space on my C: drive and when it starts downloading I get left with 2 gigs of free space. I've already tried to uninstall AWCC, so which files are taking up so much space? I just want to get rid of all the files that take up that much space.

Hi @cocomans welcome to this free user to user Alienware laptop discussion forum.

The OS(C:) boot drive needs a large amount of free space so that can open temporary files to run applications. If your PC has provision for another internal drive, move your Data to this drive. You can get external drives that will store Data.

Advocate using Macrium Reflect Free to clone (copy) your small size OS(C:) boot drive onto a larger drive. Creating a copy retains the registration of all your applications, so just swap in the larger OS(C:) boot drive and use.

Then you can decide to remove or keep the Dell AWCC application.

To receive assistance from Dell support, click the DELL-Cares username. On the resulting page, click "Send this user a private message" and share the private Dell PC Service Tag with them.

Our users need to know which Alienware Laptop model you have there.

Hi @cocomans ,

Have you tried to see which apps take up the most amount of space?

The worst case is that AWCC kept installing itself to the point where it filled up the drive.

I also recommend using Disk Cleanup to see if any old files are there.
