m15 R1, D drive disappeared
So, I had Windows 11, and then randomly after a few days of having the update, my d drive disappeared. I didn't drop the computer, and nothing like that. The disk drive is gone in the file explorer and in the desk partition. I 've downgraded to Windows 10, reseated the drive, reset the pc multiple times and tried every solution I could find. This is really annoying so any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

It's an alienware m15 r1, and it was the 2nd disk drive, not the SSD. Also, when I do run diagnostics what should I look for?

Please post the exact model of your laptop. Also did you have 2 drives or was drive a partition on the main drive? If you had 2 drives, which I suspect, then run diagnostics (F12 immediately at boot) and watch for any drive errors.

Hi @Ummidk welcome to this free user to user Alienware laptop discussion forum. This is not Dell Support.
Please go to Computer Management and open Disk Management. The D drive has probably lost its letter identification and right clicking on its partition will provide drop down menu option to assign or change its drive letter.

Can you check the BIOS to see if it's detected in there? if it's there but not in Windows then it's probably a software issue but if it's not in the BIOS then it's most likely a hardware issue.
