m15 R2, second SSD not found in BIOS
I am trying to install a Sabrient 1TB Rocket NVMe PCIe M.2 2280 SSD into the second slot on my Alienware M15 R2 but the SSD is not being detected by BIOS. I've made sure that the SSD is pushed all the way in. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi @saesen thank you or sharing update complete with link to image. The OP said the second SSD had been pushed all the way in, but Disk Management says it is not connected. Please check that the second SSD has been inserted into the PCIe electrical connections, and not inserted into the thermal shield captivation opening that is located above the electrical connections.

Hi @saesen welcome to this user to user discussion forum. This is not Dell Support.
Please use your local admin account to open Disk Management, and assign a drive letter (D:) so that windows can see this drive. The new drive should then be formatted using the same partition format used by the existing OS(C:) boot drive. Restart (Not shut Down). BIOS will then acknowledge that new drive exists.
Please click on Kudos to say thank you for response from user that is not employed by Dell. Please share an update on progress, so that other users derive benefit from your experience. Thank you.

Thanks for the reply! I do not see any additional drives in Disk Management. Check this imgur link for a photo of the my Disk Management window. Please let me know if I've misunderstood you.

Thank you so much for your help! An improperly installed SSD card was exactly the problem. I did not know that I did it incorrectly, but your description helped a lot. Have a great day!
