m15 R6, GPU fan
I’ve been having some problems with my GPU fan not working. Everything in my system is up to date (just checked) and my GPU fan doesn’t respond. When my computer starts up, I get the system BIOS check and it says my fan isn’t responding properly. I’ve gone through the steps to try to fix it, I’ve cleaned the fan thoroughly, but it doesn’t work. When it does kick on, it goes full speed for a second, and kicks off; then goes to full speed, and then kicks off and it’ll pulse like that for a good 20 minutes and then it just turns off. My CPU fan is always running high trying to cool itself off and it runs hot. I’ve only had the laptop for about a year. Any ideas?

Hi @ValkyrieRising6886 welcome to this free user-to-user Alienware laptop discussion forum.
From the opening post description, seemingly the thermistor temperature sensor part on the GPU fan has a fault. The fix is to look at white label's Dell Part Number (DP/N) and install new GPU fan. The CPU and GPU fan are usually sold as a pair. If purchased with Dell warranty, click on Contact Technical Support and click on Get Help Now icon on RH side of this webpage for online chat. Look on YouTube for how to replace fan video.
