m15 R7, arrives needing work?

So I decided to purchase a new gaming computer so I went with dell. I looked at the computers for a couple of days and selected the Alienware m15r7 seems to be a big mistake. First when I got the laptop everything looked great but I realized that it had software issues. Had to hunt down drivers online because dell website said that I didn’t have permission to download their drivers. Secondly I had to go through the registry and manually remove AWCC and reinstall a newer version because the one that it came with didn’t work. Bottom line I like the laptop but when I purchase something new for the price I paid for this laptop I shouldn’t have to do any work on it. My opinion so with regards to that if I would’ve been someone with little knowledge about software I would’ve never been able to fix this issue.

Hi @Gamerscope3679 welcome to this free user-to-user Alienware laptop discussion forum.

Windows Update will also have changed the operating system. Your next step should be to create a disaster Recovery Plan just in case the operating system's primary drive becomes unrecoverable.

Thanks for the reply I got everything working but I’ve decided to return everything Dell doesn’t care about their customer so they just lost my business bad thing is they’ll get it from someone else.
