m17 R1, cannot install Update, error 1920
I am trying to install an update from Dell for my Alienware M17, (Dell-Alienware-Update-Windows-Universal-Application_6WNYT_WIN_5.0.0_A00). I keep getting an Error 1920 and have to abort the install. I have tried running as Admin but it makes no difference. Any ideas?

Hi Sidscrat welcome to this free user-to-user Alienware laptop discussion forum.
There are many reasons for the m17 R1 (1/06/2019) error code 1920, such as:-
a. Insufficient privilege to install an application or software.
b. The software could be corrupted.
c. It could also be an operating system issue.
The current Dell-Alienware-Update-Windows-Universal-Application_6WNYT_WIN_5.0.0_A00 dated 31 Jul 2023 has Older versions that may be installed and are not being removed. Please enable GOD mode, look at Security & Maintenance (9), and click on fix problems with your computer, or other option. How to Enable God Mode in Windows 11 or 10 | Tom's Hardware (tomshardware.com). If the current version cannot be installed, try to install an Older version.
