M17 R4 Alienware Control Center Object Reference Error
My friend has an Alienware M17 R4 laptop, and randomly encountered this object reference error while trying to load up control center to tweak a fan curve. We tried uninstalling and then reinstalling both this version and the 5.x version in an attempt to get around this and found only this error or an endless loading screen. Some guidance as to what could be wrong here would be appreciated.
And ALSO, your installed AWCC-For-Laptops version must be compatible with your current OS.

After going to your link to download the correct version and doing the uninstall and reinstall process (which got stuck a couple times and I don't have much confidence in) we got stuck on this screen which will not progress past this spinning red dot wheel. No other forum I've read or seen seems to have experienced this issue and I'm not sure how to proceed from here. Please don't tell me to uninstall and reinstall, this is install cycle number 5 or 6 at this point.

Yes, always un-install old-one and reboot before trying the next one.
You can only run the highest version listed on their page at support.dellcom or this list should also be correct.
