Need an Alienware x17 with a numpad

Dell,

The thing holding me back from buying a new RTX 3080 laptop is the lack of one with a numpad. As a mobile power user and gamer this is an absolute must! I like my Area51m R2 but would like to upgrade to an RTX 3080 laptop. But I need a numpad.

The 2023 released m18 R1 has the built-in number pad.

Hi @Distriived welcome to this user to user discussion forum. This is not Dell Support.

Although the Alienware x17 R1 does not have a numpad, there are Dell wired and wireless USB Number Pad/Key Pad accessories.

Here is the selection of NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Alienware Laptops, but these do not have keyboards with numpad.

I absolutely agree, I currently own a 17R4 that I bought at the end of 2017 and am currently in the market to replace but... without a keyboard it cannot be a Alienware unless they add the keyboard back

Yeah, I'm pretty disappointed too. Been a big AW fan until now. I need that number pad for work purposes and don't want to have to use an after-market product. I think this is a big mistake on their part.

Yes, I am disappointed also! I have two AW18, two AW17 with numeric pads, AW15 without, and just bought the AW m15R7 without, and wishing I had not. I miss the numeric pads. I also miss having the THREE (3) internal slots for storage so I can use my AW as both a gaming, work and personal laptop. It will definitely be the bar for ordering any future Alienware's. The direction that Dell has taken will lose many of their followers.
