x15 R2, System Update taking too long
I have an Alienware x15 R2, as usual, every now and then windows ask for updates. I did them many times and all things went smoothly until I hit update today. Turned out to be an Alienware system update! The black screen with the (please wait while we install a system update) is stuck for three hours now with no hint of rebooting or turning on again.
I searched for online solutions, they said to remove the charger until the battery is drained and the system shuts down then turn it on again, it will work fine then go to support assist and update it from there.
Is this solution safe, is there any other solution that could make my computer work again?
Please help!

Desktops or laptops don't need to have battery drained these days. That is old info.
Just turn it off normally and go back to Windows update and it should continue.
You posted in the Desktop forum. To turn off the laptop, press and hold the power button down until it completely shuts off.
