AppSync 3.5 - force expire/unmout

Hi all,

we have a service plan that is creating a SQL database copy and during the workflow the copy is finally mounted to a server. The next run of the service plan then unmounts the previous copy before the final mount is done.

Unfortunately we had an issue on the server where the copy is mounted and had manually detached the database copy (not in AppSync). AppSync still lists the copy as mounted and does not enable to expire it. The service plan is failing becouse it is unable to unmount the previous copy.

Is there a possibility to force unmount the copy in appsync records?

Thanks.

Jan

Hello Jan,

From my experience, if you manually make the database available, as it was before detaching, then AppSync will simply see it as it was before, and unmount it.

There is a way to "force" such an unmount, but an SR must be opened as it requires changing settings that are not within the GUI.

I have a few copies which I want to get rid of. Do I just go into the service plans, select copies, click on copy, click on expire?
