Appsync LDAP
Hello All,
We are implementing appsync in our environment and have successfully configured LDAP ; but i am finding myself with an issue; I can add users but not groups; I ensured all LDAP settings are and also double checked config based on Appsync Security Guide.
Has any one out there ran into this issue?

AppSync does not currently support groups.

This is the same behavior we are experiencing. EMC has yet to standardize LDAP implementation. We have VNX,VMAX, Recoverpoint, ERM, and now AppSync all have different LDAP configuration needs. As datacenter operations security increases, LDAP implementation is crucial. We need a standard that can be deployed across all backend platforms, let's not forget the SAN switch LDAPS challenges which has its own demons.

Yup, every team at EMC writes their own implementation of LDAP authentication and each product is different. Some products support groups (like VNX), others do not (like AppSync) and others support groups but the implementation crashes the management services (RecoverPoint).
