You need to register the objects with AppSync in this order:
Active node
Passive Node
Service Label IP of the Oracle DB (this is not necessarily the cluster name, this is where I was going wrong, it can be found by running the cldisp command in AIX)
If you're having problems finding the Service Label IP, run the "cltopinfo" command and under the "Resource Group" section, the last entry is the Service Label IP.

For anyone interested, I got this sorted.

Service Label IP of the Oracle DB (this is not necessarily the cluster name, this is where I was going wrong, it can be found by running the cldisp command in AIX)

Hi Matteo,
First add active node of the cluster to AppSync Server using 'Add Unix Host'
Next Add passive node of the cluster to AppSync using 'Add Unix Host'
Then add the Service Label IP of the Oracle DB you want to protect to AppSync Server using 'Add Unix Host'
After the third step above, the database will be discovered in Oracle Copy Management page of AppSync.
You can the Subscribe the database and continue protection plan.

Hi Matteo
If you're having problems finding the Service Label IP, run the "cltopinfo" command and under the "Resource Group" section, the last entry is the Service Label IP.
Hope this helps
