Direct VM-level restore from CRR target copy
Hi
Can we VM-level restore from CRR target copy to source ESX through AppSync?
Suppose all the nodes, networks are working fine. In other words, there is no disaster happened.
I am not sure whether or not AppSync's "VM Retore Wizard" lists CRR target copy in the step 1 "Select Copy".
If it lists, next question is whether or not step 4 "Select Mount Host" lists source ESX info as a "Mount host name(ESX)".
If both answers are "Yes, it lists", I think we can directly restore VM from CRR target copy to source ESX through AppSync. Am I right?

I do not believe this would be possible, as RP replicas are restored at the CG level. You can certainly recover CRR copies back to the source, but the granular level may not be possible, due to the way the underlying storage must be recovered.
You would most likely need to mount the copy, moving the vmdk file(s) over manually. Not ideal, but will save the entire DS from being restored.
