In most cases, customers will implement an application to handle the presentation of archived files.  For example, we're in Healthcare, and we use a vendor-supplied document management program to write files into our ATMOS.  To read the contents, I must the vendor application and its stored credentials to retrieve the files.  If you want to build your own application, EMC provides a Programmer's API guide for ATMOS, providing the details for building tools to hook into your applications.

For something simpler, you can look into GeoDrive for ATMOS, a simple program provided by EMC (go to the EMC Support site and select Downloads, then search for GeoDrive).  This adds a Windows drive letter or Linux mount for users to read/write files.  From a user perspective, it's an ordinary mount point.

Let us know if that helps!
