Avamar DLO Option

I would like to roll out DLO to a few hundred VIP users.  The challenges that I am facing are the following:

• How do I standardize the installation, by this I mean the standardization of, backup reminders, power vs battery, Wireless, etc.  Currently its a client by client basis
• How do i extend the time that the backup can remain in a paused state.  Default is 30mins, say I wanted to extend that to 1hr.
• How do I, if possible configure the agent to backup daily upon start up or long extended idle times (say during lunch).  I'd hate to introduce a few hundred backup failures because the client was not online when scheduled backups were set to commence.

I am turning to the community to see if anyone has successfully implemented DLO on a large scale with little to no user interaction.
