Avamar Gen3: 3.3TB node internal disk layout - RAID 1 or RAID 5 ?

Hello Avamar people, From the site preparation document Gen3 nodes, it comes with 2TB nodes, and 3.3TB nodes. I actually physcially inspected the 2TB nodes, it comes with 6 x 1TB internal drives, assuming using RAID1, so make it 3TB effective, and 2TB for data, 1TB for check point; Now the question is how it lays out as 3.3TB nodes, is it just same machine with 6 x 1TB disks, with RAID 5 layout, end up with 5TB effecitve, and 3.3TB for data, 1.6TB for check point?     OR,  3.3TB is really has some larger internal disks (e.g. 6 x 1.6TB disks ) with RAID 1 ? Best regards, Liang

Currently the only disks we use are 300GB 15K RPM disks and 1TB 7.2K RPM disks.

In the 3.3TB nodes we have six 1TB 7.2K RPM disks in a RAID 5 layout.

If you do the maths that's 6TB minus 1TB (equiv to 1 disk) for RAID giving a total capacity of 5TB which includes the 3.3TB available to store deduplicated backup data
