Dear friends of the community;
I share here.
Implement Avamar and perform a virtual proxies for the backup virtual images of some machines VMware, generate, configure and register to the Avamar no problem and select the datastore where the virtual machines, is that when it supports generates the snapshot without problem, but when you have to remove this snapshot and send it to Avamar, backup fails with code 10008.
you can edit the host table ne proxies to achieve communication with the Avamar Server.
Annex the log.
Greetings and I hope I can help

Can you ping TEMM9DFAVA01.MEXICO.TEM.MX from the proxy? Can you telnet to the server on port 27000 from the proxy?
The logs shows the initial connection to the server failing.

Hi J.H
Connect to one of the proxies for SSH or Putty: with the user root and the password avama @ r.
a ping test to the utility node by IP, short name and long name, example:
ping 192168229230
ping avamar01.com.mx
ping avamar01
if no response edit the / etc / hosts on the proxy, adding vcenter data and utility node and try the ping again.
That's what I did and my backup completed successfully.
good luck
best regards
