Can't install SQL plug-in; Microsoft.SqlServer.Smo.dll version error
I am trying to install the Avamar SQL plug in for 7.2 version to back up the SQL DB's. The server uses Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2.
I try to run the SQL plug-in and right away I get a pop-up error stating:
Microsoft.SqlServer.Smo.dll version does not match the latest SQL Server installation found on the system. Please update your SQL SMO DLL before running this installer again.
Required version: 10.x.x.x
What does this error mean and how can I get the SQL plug in properly installed?

Please check this KB, https://support.emc.com/kb/456712, it looks like we must apply a HF; HF234957

SQL SMO version does not need to match SQL server version exactly, but can be of higher version.Apply HF234957

I think similar errors were found in Avamar Version 7.1.1. Please get in touch with Support to rectify this Issue.
