Correct alert for showing failed Network interface - Command to confirm interface is available or not
Hi,
I'm making a simple run book for our service desk to help monitor our multiple Gen4 grids. This includes responding to alerts that may come through.
One area I'm stuggling with is network interfaces. So some questions:
What are the recommended alerts to show if a network interface goes offline (eg cable is bad, pulled or the NIC fails)?
What commands can be run on the grids to show the status of each network interface?
I've seen alerts 52014 and 52015 - The port link has gone down on port %POR_NUM% Communications Module A. Would this show what I'm after?
Thanks for your help.

Please consider moving this question as-is (no need to recreate) to the proper forum for maximum visibility. Questions written to the users' own "Discussions" space don't get the same amount of attention and can go unanswered for a long time.
You can do so by selecting "Move" under ACTIONS along the upper-right. Then search for and select: "Avamar Support Forum".
