ERROR: Non-Rain configuration is not supported for SLES operation failed

Question

Hello everybody,

Im installing a single node, 1.3 Tb Gen 4

Im getting the following error:

I rerun installation 2 or 3 times verifying all settings but always it is the same error..

Do I need to rekick start this node?

Can you tellme something to try?

Im installing

AvamarInstallV6Sles-6.0.0-592.avp

Please look at the probe.xml file. I had the same issue and could see that the ip was on 2 interfaces

Yes you are right, there are duplicate IPs on 2 interfaces because on configuration time there were configure twice.

nodedb print show 2 duplicated IPs instead only 1

Could you fix your issue?

After I removed the duplicate IP gsan started up and the installation was successfull.

Is there any reason you are installing v. AvamarInstallV6Sles-6.0.0-592.avp? I would recommend to get hold of the latest v. AvamarInstallSles-6.0.1-65.avp. I have experienced some issues with VMWare image on previous versions 6. They are fixed in the newest version AvamarInstallSles-6.0.1-65.avp

I'm starting to use latest available avamar versión. just to let you know I rekickstart the node, set the correct ip fields (avoiding duplicate IP) and all works fine.
