exclude some filetypes
Hi.
Title says it all... Need to kick some "multimedia" filetypes of my backups... However, "*.mp3" in the exclude tab of the dataset doesn't seems to work...
Is there any way to exclude these extensions?

Are you including the quotes also " " ?

tried:
*.mp3
.mp3 (still need to test...)
Is there anyway to configure?

Hi,
I did a test with plugin windows file system and add *.mp3 in exclude and don't have a problem, have error message when you try?

Well..
I don't get any error, but mp3 files are backed up as well... I'll try it again...

is the extension of this files all with lowecase XXX.mp3 or they are XXX.MP3
cause the wildcard is case sensitive.
you have to be sure that the plug in the exclusion is the same to the one you are backing up

Hi.
My bad... I was actually creating the excludes under "Windows VSS" plugin (the default one)... Tried using "Windows file system" and worked like a charm...
